Dr. David Lee Fish, Ph.D., served as the PJ Leonard Chair of the Music Department at Catawba College in North Carolina. The country’s leading music education magazine, In Tune Monthly, recognized Catawba as a Best Music School for many years running.

At the college, Dr. Fish directed a thriving degree concentration for popular music that attracts talented students from across the country, a number of whom have gone on to successfully compete on such television series as American Idol and America’s Got Talent.

Dr. Fish is one of the key founders and a past president of the Association for Popular Music Education. He is also the founder and principal of College Music Major, a independent educational consultants that helps college-bound musicians and their families.
